How to make it
- Set the card width and height, and choose how many days it covers — 24 or 25 for December, or fewer for a shorter countdown
- Pick a door shape — square, squircle, arch or circle — and where the number sits on each door
- Turn on a backing sheet so the doors have something to open onto, and set a pocket depth greater than zero if you want divider strips that give each door a compartment behind it
- Add handle holes if you want a hanging cord, then export as SVG for a cutting machine or a true-to-size PDF
Frequently asked questions
Does this cut 24 or 25 doors?
Both are presets — 24 for December 1-24, or 25 if you count Christmas Day itself. Set the number of doors to anything from 1 to 31 for a different countdown length.
Can each door have a pocket behind it for a small treat?
Yes — set the pocket depth above zero and the export adds separate divider strips between the door card and the backing, giving each door a small compartment instead of opening onto a flat sheet.
What paper weight works best?
A lighter card (around 200-250gsm) for the door sheet folds and swings cleanly; a slightly heavier backing sheet (250-300gsm) holds its shape if you're using the pocket-divider option.
