What head size should I use for a kids' party hat?
A child preset around 480mm circumference suits most primary-school-age heads; measure round the head at the point the hat will sit for a more exact fit, especially for younger toddlers or larger adults.
Does the crown need glue?
No — the crown is built in two halves that lock end-to-end with slits, so it goes together without glue and adjusts slightly to the head.
How does the paper lantern work?
It's cut as one slitted sheet: roll it into a tube, then gently push the ends together so the slits bow outward into the lantern shape, and attach the handle strip across the top.
